AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) or HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), AIDS - these are the names of the same disease associated with deficiency of cellular immunity, which occurs as a result of infection with the blood agent of AIDS. How did aids start? - Early symptoms

Causative agent of AIDS, extending into the blood of man, lives in lymphocytes, which will soon die. The virus infects the newly formed white blood cells, and this process can continue in the patient's body for a very long time - up to ten years while the number of leukocytes in the blood of a patient does not reach critical to the health of cells. Symptoms of early AIDS may be low or absent altogether. The virus is separated from the carrier body or a sick person with semen or secretions of female genital mutilation. Infection with the AIDS virus during sexual intercourse is possible with micro trauma, most often in homosexual men, individuals who prefer a hard and anal sex. A large number of newly infected AIDS - drug addicts inject a needle, medical manipulation of sterile instruments, people who have had a blood transfusion from a patient with HIV infection, it is possible contamination during birth from mother - child.

Since HIV infection could be several years before the first symptoms of the disease will manifest. AIDS is often discovered by chance during a routine medical exam. Incubation period can range from three months to ten years. In the first five years of full clinical picture may develop in 20% of those infected.

Symptoms of AIDS are increasing all the lymph nodes, fever and signs of increasing intoxication, often diarrhea, and skin rash appears as spots of erythema. These symptoms are nonresistant: after some time they disappear. Lymph nodes are sometimes inflamed; in some cases disappear, too.

The next period in the development of disease - hidden. The patients gradually decreased body weight, growing malaise, weakness, drowsiness, is often a headache, dyspepsia. Women may be disrupted menstrual cycle, until the complete disappearance of menstruation. Affects the skin and mucous membranes, developed pyoderma, dermatitis, seborrhea, candidiasis, there are skin ulcers, gangrene, herpes. The patient has increased the spleen, there is a hemorrhagic vasculitis.

The next stage of the disease is the appearance of diffuse disease, cancer, pneumonia, toxoplasmosis, mycosis, candidiasis, tuberculosis.

In the last stages of the disease in a patient manifested dementia, severe dementia. Patients cannot speak, are unconscious, they noted, and fecal incontinence of urine, paralysis occurs.
